    Arriving in Praza do Obradoiro

Every Camino ends in the same place: the Praza do Obradoiro, in front of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

    The cathedral

The cathedral's Baroque Obradoiro façade faces the square. Inside, pilgrims traditionally embrace the statue of St. James behind the altar and visit the crypt holding his relics.

    Pilgrim's Mass and the Botafumeiro

A Pilgrim's Mass is held daily. On certain occasions, the giant censer known as the Botafumeiro swings across the transept. Its use is scheduled by the cathedral, so it is not guaranteed on a given day.

    Your Compostela

Eligible pilgrims collect their certificate at the Pilgrim's Office, a short walk from the square.
