Luggage Transfers on the Camino: Walk with Only a Daypack

Carrying a heavy pack is the number-one cause of Camino fatigue. On our trip, your suitcase moves ahead of you every day.

    How it works

Each morning you leave your luggage at hotel reception. It's collected and delivered to your next accommodation, so it's waiting when you arrive. You walk with a light daypack containing water, snacks, a rain layer and your pilgrim credential.

What to keep in your daypack

    • 1–1.5 litres of water
    • Light waterproof jacket
    • Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
    • Your Credencial (pilgrim passport) for stamps
    • Phone with our support number saved
    • Blister kit and any personal medication

    Packing tip

One medium suitcase per person is ideal. Soft-sided bags are easier to handle in historic hotels with narrow staircases.
